Kia recently introduced its Syros compact SUV, though the price for the model in question has yet to be revealed. The price announcement is set to take place in early 2025 in India, but for those interested in buying the SUV, the order books open on January 3 next year. Upon launch, the Syros will be offered in 6 variants – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O) – and 8 monotone paint finishes: Pewter Olive, Aurora Black Pearl, Frost Blue, Intense Red, Gravity Grey, Imperial Blue, Sparkling Silver, and Glacier White Pearl.
Coming to the powertrain, the Syros gets two options – 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The former makes 118bhp and 172Nm of peak torque, while the latter is tuned to produce 116bhp and 250Nm. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard, while a six-speed torque converter automatic and seven-speed DCT are optional. The 1.0-litre petrol 6MT can be had with HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, and HTX, while the same petrol option with 7DCT is available on HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O). As for the diesel mill, 6MT is being offered with HTK (O), HTK+, and HTX. HTX+ and HTX+ (O) variants also get the option of the 1.5-litre diesel with 6AT.
