Kia India has marked a significant achievement with the production of 15 lakh vehicles at its Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh. The milestone model was the Carens MPV, which is soon to debut with some notable upgrades on May 8, 2025. The most recent achievement underscores the South Korean brand's rapid growth in the Indian market, making it the fastest carmaker to reach this huge production volume since its debut in August 2019. The Seltos stands out as the key contributor to the 15 lakh vehicles produced at the Anantapur plant, accounting for 46.7%. It is closely followed by the Sonet, which makes up 34.6%, while the Carens represents 16.1% of the total production. The Syros and Carnival round out the production figures, each adding a smaller yet notable share to the total.
In a recent development, Kia India has revealed that the new Carens will be launched on May 8, 2025. Let’s dive into the changes and upgrades the refreshed MPV could bring to the table.
The 2025 Carens is likely to undergo a significant update, with styling and feature enhancements designed to keep Kia ahead in the competitive three-row segment. While the brand has yet to confirm specifics, speculations indicate key exterior updates that align with Kia’s evolving design language.
