Kia India has added to the HTK+ Petrol MT variant of the Sonet SUV a new feature — an electric sunroof, which was earlier limited to the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol- and 1.5-litre diesel-powered models. This means that the 1.2-litre petrol-powered Sonet gets an electric sunroof for the first time, making it the most affordable variant in the model range that comes equipped with a sunroof. Speaking of its pricing, Kia has launched the HTK Plus variant Petrol MT with this new feature at Rs 9.76 lakh in India. Price is ex-showroom. Meanwhile, this variant continues to pack in a host of nifty features, such as an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, auto headlamps, automatic AC, wireless phone projection, keyless entry, four speakers with two tweeters, rear camera, etc. Kia launched the all-new Sonet compact SUV in September 2020 in 6 trim levels, spread across Tech Line and GT Line variants.
In March this year, the SUV received significant updates in terms of the powertrain as well as additional features. The SUV features engines that comply with BS6 Phase II or RDE emission standards. Moreover, the Sonet also gets E-20 fuel-compliant engines, a mixture of 20 per cent ethanol and 80 per cent petrol.
