After the Seltos, Kia is preparing to update the Sonet for the Indian market. In a recent development, the Sonet was sighted testing in Hyderabad, the city of the Nawabs, and images of the same have floated online. New spy photos show that Kia has made some significant changes to the car's design and interior. Owing to the mid-life update, it is expected that the Sonet will feature a fresh grille design, LED headlights with revamped contours, and L-shaped LED taillights that bear a striking resemblance to the latest Seltos model. While Kia has not revealed anything regarding specifics, assumptions have been made that the upcoming Sonet will sport some industry-first features.
As Kia has launched one of its popular models - the Seltos this year in an upgraded form, it is less likely that the Sonet facelift will be released now. According to several market reports, Kia may introduce the updated Sonet in our market at some time in the next year. Before the Sonet arrives in our country, let's take a closer look at the latest spy shots and learn more about the upcoming redesigned version.

New Kia Sonet: Recent Spy Shots
Although the revamped model's exterior design was well-camouflaged, some distinguishing features were visible in the recent spy images. According to the leaked photos, the vehicle flaunted the black roof rails, the LED DRLs, the dual-tone rear bumper, brand-new two-tone alloy wheels, as well as refreshed LED taillights, which seem identical to those found on the new Seltos.
As for the interior, there haven't been any leaked photos yet, but it's expected that the car will have a large touchscreen infotainment system on a single-piece dashboard, along with new upholstery, a dashcam, and a fully digital instrument console. The car already includes features like an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, and wireless charging. Additionally, there may be an ADAS suite available.
New Kia Sonet: Powertrain
The engine, or heart, of the car, is predicted to be the same as the model it replaces. Three different engines are currently offered for the Sonet: a 1.2-litre NA petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a 1.0-lire turbo-petrol.
New Kia Sonet: Expected Launch Timeline
As mentioned above, Kia will presumably introduce the revised Sonet to our market by the next year. With a range of improvements made to both the exterior and interior, it may cost more than the current version, which is available at prices ranging from Rs 7.79 lakh to Rs 14.89 lakh. Both are ex-showroom figures.
