The Sonet Aurochs Edition from Kia is now available in India. The automaker has introduced the Sonet special edition, which starts at Rs 11.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition is based on the HTX variant. The exterior of the new model has been given cosmetic updates. With models like the Seltos and the Sonet accounting for a significant portion of the brand's monthly sales, Kia, one of the top 5 automakers in India, owes its success to the sales volumes driven by these vehicles. The company recently reported that sales for the period of January to April 2023 compared to the same period in 2022 increased by 22% YoY. Kia sales in April 2023 totalled 23,216 units, a 22.07 per cent increase over the 19,019 units sold in April 2022. 4,197 more units were added to the volume as a result. Additionally, compared to the 21,501 units sold in March 2023, month-over-month (MoM) sales increased by 7.98%. Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition: New Updates
The name of the Sonet Aurochs Edition comes from the aurochs cattle breed. The aurochs was one of the largest herbivores to have ever roamed the earth, despite being extinct today. It is simple to imagine their massive size and imposing strength given that their shoulders can reach heights of up to 180cm. The horns on aurochs were also very big. These particulars served as the basis for Sonet Aurochs Edition's overall design. The new Sonet Aurochs Edition features a tangerine front grille, front and rear skid plates, and doors compared to the HTX variant. The Aurochs Edition logo is also on the grille. The contrastive dual-tone shade of the skid plates further increases the SUV's street presence.
The side body cladding has also undergone a similar change. Overall, the cosmetic improvements have contributed to the SUV's more rugged appearance. For those who prefer their vehicles to be more extravagant and exclusive, you may consider the Sonet Aurochs Edition. It is obvious that not every colour option offered by Sonet Tech-Line will be compatible with the new updates. 6 single-tone and 2 dual-tone colour options are offered for Sonet HTX. Only four colour options are offered for the Sonet Aurochs Edition, in contrast. Glacier White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Sparking Silver, and Gravity Grey are all included. Glacier White Pearl + Aurora Black Pearl, Imperial Blue, Intense Red + Aurora Black Pearl, and Intense Blue + Aurora Black Pearl are not available in the Sonet Aurochs Edition.
