The Kia Seltos will be introduced in 5 variants. Even the base TE trim will come loaded with features like 2 airbags, tit & telescopic steering, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth, rear air-con vents and more
Just two weeks back Kia unveiled its first offering for the Indian market – the Seltos. It has been known for a while that this SUV is the production iteration of the SP2i Concept the company showcased at the Auto Expo last year. At the heart, the Seltos will come with three engine options – a 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor that will be paired with a 7-speed DCT. Kia will also have 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines on offer. As far as features go, the Seltos is likely to be launched in 5 variants – TE, TK, TK+, TX and TX+. Here’s look at the feature list in of these variants:
TE: The base TE trim of the Seltos is expected to come loaded with all the necessary features you’d want in a car. Starting with safety features, the Seltos will get 2 airbags, ABS and EBD as standard fitment. In addition, it also gets a shark fin antenna, scuff plates at the font and the rear and the renowned tiger nose grille up front. On the inside, the car gets a steering with mounted controls and tilt and telescopic adjustment. This variant also gets Bluetooth connectivity, AUX, FM and Voice recognition. The base trim is only expected to be on sale in the 1.5-litre diesel engine option.
TK and TK+: This variant of the Seltos also comes with LED DRLs and mood lights and electrically folding ORVMs. Additionally, it also comes with a smart key, button start, cruise control and a rear sun shade. Above all, the TK+ variant comes with a manual and automatic transmission option for the 1.5-litre diesel.
TX: This one will be a connected car and will come equipped with UVO connected car tech. Additionally, it also comes with LED headlamps and fog lamps, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, ambient lighting, reclining rear seats, tyre pressure monitoring system and more. The TX also comes fitted with stylish tuning-fork alloy wheels.
TX+: Being the top-end variant of the Seltos, this one gets a lot of additional features. It comes with manual as well as automatic transmission options. In terms of features, the TX+ comes plonked with Solar UV glass, electically adjustable front seat, 7-inch MID, Bose speakers, 360-degree camera and more. For additional comfort, the Seltos TX+ also gets ventilated front seats. Rain sensing wipers, 6 airbags, multi drive modes are some other highlight features of the TX+ trim.
Kia will launch the Seltos in India soon and it is expected to be priced in the Rs 11-17 lakh range. When launched it will compete against the likes of the MG Hector, Renault Duster and others.
