Kia Seltos could be launched in a new edition sometime in the month of April, 2021. Could be similar or at par to the Kia Seltos Gravity Edition that is on sale in the international market
Kia India has posted a picture of a book and an apple, along with the caption ‘The one who asked “Why?”’ on its social network handles. That hints at Sir Isaac Newton - one who invented Gravity. This brings us to the keyword Gravity which also happens to be an edition in Seltos’ line-up back in Kia’s domestic market, Korea. The Gravity edition is expected to be launched in India as well and it could most likely be based on the top spec Kia Seltos HTX+ and GTX+ variants.
Internationally, the Kia Seltos Gravity edition sports a differently styled grille that gets a healthy dose of chrome. Along with a faux diffuser on the rear bumper. The international spec car also gets 18-inch alloy-wheels which are partly finished in gloss black and partly diamond cut. However, the larger set of wheels are unlikely to be brought to the Indian market. The car also sports a different shade of Blue colour in the pictures as opposed to the shade of Blue seen in our market. The cabin could come equipped with different interior elements.
The mainstay of the Gravity Edition would be the new KIA logo. With the launch of an additional variant, Kia could start badging the Seltos with its new emblem. It has also been rumoured that this variant could come with an option of a panoramic sunroof - similar to what the Hyundai Creta gets. That said, the Seltos Gravity Edition could be offered with both diesel and petrol engine options and a choice of manual or automatic transmission. Expect it to be priced Rs 30,000-50,000 higher than the current.GTX+ and HTX+ line variants.
