Kia has finally revealed the mileage figures for the updated Seltos SUV in India. The revised Seltos is available in our market with prices ranging from Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. Both are ex-showroom figures.
Kia India has disclosed the ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency numbers of the newly launched 2023 Seltos SUV. The C1-segment sports utility vehicle in its renewed avatar is currently on sale in our market, with prices ranging from Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. Both are ex-showroom figures. Mechanically, the SUV offers a choice of three engines: a 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel.
According to the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the new Smartstream 1.5-litre TGDi petrol powertrain offers 17.7km/l with iMT and 17.9km/l with DCT automatic gears. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine delivers fuel economy of 17.7km/l with an automated CVT gearbox and 17.0km/l with a manual gearbox. Additionally, the 1.5-litre diesel motor with an iMT and AT offers a mileage of 20.7km/l and 19.1km/l, respectively. In terms of engine, the revamped Seltos SUV continues with the 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel motors. With the petrol powertrain, the SUV delivers 113bhp and 144Nm mated to either a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the turbo-diesel powertrain offers 114.4bhp and 250Nm coupled with a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Kia has further provided a new 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder, turbo-petrol unit with the facelifted SUV, which mated to a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, claims to generate 158bhp and 253Nm.

A sculpted bonnet, a tiger-nose grille, wrap-around LED taillamps, LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, 18-inch wheels, and more are a part of the SUV exterior. Inside, the revised model includes a Bose music system, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, two 10.25-inch screens, and more. In terms of safety, the SUV boasts a 360-degree camera, ESC, hill hold assist, as well as, a Level-2 ADAS tech, which comprises lane-keeping assist, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and other functions.

The 2023 version of the SUV is priced between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. In India, the revised Seltos SUV competes with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and the forthcoming Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross.
