The Kia Carens is expected to be launched in February, and it will be available in five variants.
Kia has received 7,738 bookings for the Carens within 24 hours of opening its bookings. Bookings for the Carens were opened on 14 January for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Interested customers can book the Carens either online or at a dealership.
Kia also revealed the variant-wise feature list for all variants of the Carens. The MPV is available in five variants – Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. We have done a detailed story on the features that you get in each variant, along with available engine and transmission options with each variant.
As far as colours go, Kia is offering eight different shades for the Carens – Clear White, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Sparkling Silver, Moss Brown, and Imperial Blue. However, Clear White is only available with the base Premium variant of the Carens, along with Sparkling Silver. The next-in-line Prestige variant can be had in Sparkling Silver, Glacier White Pearl, and Gravity Grey. All other variants can be had in all the remaining seen colour options. Oddly enough, Kia is offering no dual-tone colour options at the moment.
The Carens will be a loaded offering from Kia, just like the rest of its cars. The top-spec variant will house a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, connected car tech, a sunroof, digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, 64-colour ambient lighting, and more.
As far as the prices are concerned, Kia says that they will be out soon. However, from what we know, the Carens won’t be launched in India before February. And when it is launched, it will rival the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700.
