Kia's all-new logo is also accompanied by a new brand slogan – 'Movement that inspires'.
Heading into 2021, Kia has officially renewed is brand identity by revealing an all-new corporate logo and a new brand slogan. First previewed on the Imagine Concept car at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the new Kia logo features an italicized treatment – all three letters are now connected to each other, resembling a handwritten signature. Plus, the renowned circular surround has been ditched.
While the new logo sure looks modern and indicates the same about the brand's future, the Korean marque describes the new logo as 'the symbol of Kia's new brand purpose and the values it promises to offer customers through future products and services, and the experiences these enable. The rhythmical, unbroken line of the logo conveys Kia's commitment to bringing moments of inspiration, while its symmetry demonstrates confidence.'
Sharing his thoughts on the new brand identity, Mr Ho Sung Song (President – Kia Motors Corporation) said, 'Kia’s new logo represents the company’s commitment to becoming an icon for change and innovation. The automotive industry is experiencing a period of rapid transformation, and Kia is proactively shaping and adapting to these changes. Our new logo represents our desire to inspire customers as their mobility needs evolve, and for our employees to rise to the challenges we face in a fast-changing industry.'
Following this, Kia is all set to reveal its new business strategy on 15th January 2021. This will, of course, be in accordance with the strategy revealed earlier in September 2020 and Kia's broader EV roadmap for the future, 'Plan S'.
