Kia EV9 SUV Revealed Globally; Check Exterior, Interior and More Details
The Kia EV9 SUV has been revealed ahead of its global debut. The upcoming model gets vertically stacked LED tail lamps, Star Map LED DRLs, and Tiger Nose grille with a single air vent.
Kia has officially revealed the flagship EV9 SUV ahead of its global debut, which is reportedly scheduled for late March. Following its official debut, the 2024 electric SUV is expected to go on sale in the international markets later this year. Moreover, the India-bound EV9 could be launched by 2024 in view of the fact that the Korean automaker showcased it in concept form to the masses at the Auto Expo 2023. The three-row EV9 is the production-ready model that sits above the Kia EV6 electric vehicle. In other news, the company recently teased the SUV in its production form. According to the final design of the EV9, the upcoming SUV will be boxy in appearance and sharp along the edges.

Kia EV9 SUV: Exterior Details
The Kia EV9 is based on the E-GMP (electric global modular platform), which underpins the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. The SUV has vertical head- and tail lamp design, sharp-edged wheel inserts, Star Map LED DRLs (daytime running lights) merging with the headlight units on either side, flush-fitting door handles, Kia's signature Tiger Nose grille with a single air vent.
In addition, the SUV gets a tall & flat roofline, a tiny frunk, and aero-style alloys with square-shaped elements. It runs on 21-inch alloy wheels. Its lower-spec variants come with either 19- or 20-inch wheels.
Kia EV9 SUV: Interior Details
Inside, the EV9 electric SUV offers a spacious and airy cabin. The car features two 12.3-inch touchscreens integrated with a 5-inch segment display at the centre. Its cabin gets a single row of touch buttons underneath the touchscreen for the infotainment system, along with another row of buttons below the air vents for the air-conditioning.
The Kia EV9 is available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. Both the front- and second-row seats of the EV9 have power-reclining functions. This means that the seats can be reclined while the vehicle is charging. Also, its 6-seater variants allow the second-row seats to be rotated by up to 180 degrees.

Meanwhile, Kia Motors is silent on the EV9's mechanical specifications. According to some reports, the Kia EV9 is anticipated to have a range of more than 540 kilometre on a single charge. It is also expected to get a dual motor 4WD and a single motor RWD from Kia. Depending on the trim, the EV9 could provide between 197bhp and 295bhp of maximum power. The torque figures could vary between 338Nm and 652Nm.
We anticipate the Kia EV9 to be priced around Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the SUV will take on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the Audi e-Tron, the Audi e-Tron Sportback, and the Jaguar I-Pace.
