Kia EV6 Limited-Edition Model Teased Ahead of Monterey Car Week Debut, Based on GT-Line Trim
During 2023 Monterey Car Week, Kia will officially unveil the limited-edition version of the current EV6 in a worldwide premiere in California. The limited-edition model will be based on the EV6 GT-Line trim, according to some industry reports.
The US arm of the South Korean manufacturer Kia has teased the automotive world with an image of the limited-edition Kia EV6, ahead of the Monterey Car Week in California, the U.S. For those unaware, Monterey Car Week is an annual celebration of all things automotive, during which some of the rarest and most exquisite cars from the past, present, and future converge in Northern California. During 2023 Monterey Car Week, Kia will officially unveil the limited-edition version of the current EV6 in a worldwide premiere in California, joined by a number of other automakers and several car auction companies such as Mecum and Bonhams. Kia says that the limited-run model will not be revealed as a whole new product, but will be reportedly based on the EV6 GT-Line Trim. However, details on all this and more will be out on the 18th of August at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.

Kia EV6 Limited-Edition Model: What the Teaser Image Reveals?
As of now, we only have the teaser image released by the company, which showed the electric vehicle with a Dark Green exterior colour, hinting at subtle exterior and interior tweaks for an 'exclusive, style-driven' variant of the EV6. To maintain its exclusivity, the number of units that will exit the production ramp will be limited to 1000.
Kia EV6 Limited-Edition Model: What Else We Know?
Also, a window sticker for the EV6 with "N.A. SUV Of The Year Limited Edition Package" appeared on the KiaEVForums last month. This suggests that this special version could be related to the vehicle being named the 2023 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year. Besides, the sticker also hinted that the Deep Forest Green EV6 could make its way to the USA, the colour of which is similar to the Dark Green exterior colour as shown in the teaser image.
Kia EV6 Limited-Edition Model: Battery & Other Details
The Kia EV6 comes equipped with two battery options – a 58kWh and a 77.4kWh battery. The bigger battery pack is available with both RWD (rear-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) options, while the smaller one is compatible only with an RWD configuration.
The 2023 Kia EV6 is available in India in GT-Line trim, with both RWD (rear-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) options. The RWD EV6 gets a single motor that churns out around 226bhp of maximum power and 350Nm of peak torque, and it has a range of 510-kilometre (WLTP). While the more powerful e-AWD version has a dual motor setup that outputs 320bhp and 605Nm of torque, enabling it to sprint from a standstill to 100km/h in just 5.2 seconds. As for its battery, the latest Kia EV6 comes equipped with a 77.4kWh battery and delivers an ARAI-certified driving range of up to 708 kilometre.

Kia EV9 Flagship Electric SUV: Key Details
Along with the new Kia EV9 SUV, the limited-edition EV6 electric will be displayed at the Quail on August 18 at the Monterey Car Week, which began on August 11 this year. The Kia EV9 is the new flagship SUV of the Kia line-up, which features a 3,100mm long wheelbase.
In the international market, the EV9 is offered with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations. The Kia EV9 is based on the E-GMP (electric global modular platform), which also underpins the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6.
