Kia Carnival Facelift Spotted Testing in Korea Ahead of Global Debut; Shows Major Design Update

Kia's popular MPV, the Carnival, is undergoing a major makeover and is set to make its global debut shortly. However, before the official debut, the all-new MPV has recently been caught on Korean roads. The latest spy shots of the MPV appear to be from an ad shoot, which exhibits a range of changes to the car's design. It is important to note that the spotted MPV is a Korean model, and the India-bound version may have a different style and features. Talking specifically about the the globally spotted version, the MPV's redesigned appearance includes an elongated grille, as well as, a prominent nose, along with L-shaped headlights with connected daytime running lamps. Along with the new alloy wheel design, there are chrome accents on the sides. Pertaining to the launch of the redesigned model in our market, Kia has not yet provided a statement. More information about this matter is expected to emerge during the MPV's international debut.

Kia Carnival Facelift: What's New?

In terms of styling, the internationally-sighted version shows significant improvements over the previous version. As already mentioned, it shows a wider grille and a more erect nose. The grille is surrounded by chrome highlights, and the front bumper is smooth with zero cuts and creases. There is a small air inlet beneath it, encircled by a faux brushed aluminium skid plate. The rear taillamps, which are connected by an LED light strip, also feature the L-shaped design. The license plate enclosure is situated in the middle of the tailgate, which has a flat appearance. Additionally, the rear bumper is given a chrome and matte black finish.

As of now, there are no precise details on the advancements inside. Market reports, however, suggest that the dashboard and technology inside will undergo substantial upgrades. Additional enhanced amenities and multiple seating configurations are anticipated for the new Carnival.

Kia Carens MPV Crossed 1 Lakh Units Milestone in India 

The Carens MPV recently achieved the 1 lakh sales milestone in India. The MPV offers two seating arrangements and six variants. In terms of features, the Carens MPV boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen with linked car technology, keyless entry, cruise control, automatic climate control, heated front seats, wireless phone charging, a rear-view camera, and more.

The price of the Carens ranges from Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 18.95 lakh in our market, with the top-spec X-Line commanding around Rs 18.94 lakh. These are ex-showroom figures. As far as market competition is concerned, the Carens rivals the likes of the Mahindra Marazzo, the Toyota Innova Crysta, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and others.
