We all know that Kia India is working toward bringing its latest Carens MPV to our market. In the run-up to that, the spy image of the facelifted Kia Carens has surfaced online, indicating that the launch is imminent. However, the camouflaged prototype of the Kia Carens facelift does not reveal much, save for an updated taillamp design. The vehicle's headlamp design is not visible, but expect it to be similar to the updated Kia Seltos'.
Also expected are new bumpers and alloy wheels, as well as an updated front grille. The interior details are under wraps. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the updated Kia Carens will continue to offer the same interior layout or will have the design in line with the refreshed Sonet and Seltos.

Features-wise, the facelifted Carens is expected to offer new upholstery, twin 10.25-inch infotainment screens, ventillated front seats, and a sunroof. For safety, one can expect segment-first ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) tech, a 360-degree camera, a rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and six airbags.
Kia Carens Facelift: Powertrain
We do not expect any changes under the hood. Like before, the facelifted Carens could come with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (134bhp), a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (158bhp), and a 1.5-litre diesel (114.4bhp) engine. Gearbox options, including a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed torque converter automatic, and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, should be carried over as well.
Kia Carens Facelift: Price, Availability
Compared to the current model (Rs 10.52 lakh–Rs 19.67 lakh, ex-showroom), the facelifted Kia Carens could carry a higher price tag thanks to the upgrades and enhancements. Upon its launch – which is expected in 2025 – the MPV will continue to rival the Maruti Suzuki XL6, the Toyota Innova Crysta, and the Toyota Rumion.

For the next year, Kia also plans to launch the Carens-based EV in India, probably in the second half of next year. With EV-specific changes, the electrified Carens is expected to cost between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom).
