The Kia Carens has achieved a new sales milestone in India after 30,953 units of the car were sold in just six months. The car has also played an important role in Kia recording its best-ever monthly sales in India in June.

Kia registered its highest-ever monthly wholesales with 24,024 units in June this year. These numbers reflected a 60% YoY growth as compared to the same month last year. Kia reported that it delivered 15,015 cars to the dealers in June 2021. On an MoM basis, the manufacturer reported a growth of 28.3% after it had sold 18,718 vehicles in May this year.

In June alone, numbers for the Carens stood at 7,895 units, showing an impressive response for the car in the country. In India, the Kia Carens share its powertrain options with the Seltos which means there is 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The diesel derivative is tuned to deliver 113bhp and 250Nm of torque and can be had with a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The Carens also score well in terms of features with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully-digital driver’s display. It gets a one-touch tumble-down function to get into the third row of seats and comes with notable features like 64-colour ambient lighting, an air purifier, and roof-mounted aircon vents for the middle and third row, front ventilated seats, and a single-pane electric sunroof.
