Along with the regular Wagoneer S, Jeep just revealed the off-road-focused Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept in the international market. Though Jeep is calling the hardcore Trailhawk version a concept, it looks nearly production-ready with a 2.0-inch suspension lift and Falken Wildpeak AT3W 31.5-inch all-terrain tyres. The redesigned front/rear bumpers make use of anti-scratch cladding to protect the vehicle during off-roading, while functional air vents help relieve high-pressure zones in the wheel wells during high-speed travels. One can also see flat decals at the front, and redesigned fascias with orange tow hooks.
Along with five drive modes (Auto, Sand, Snow, Eco, and Sport) seen on the standard Wagoneer S, the Trailhawk also gets a Rock mode for more extreme off-roading. Moreover, a driver-selectable electronic locking rear axle can be used during steep climbs.

Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept: Interior
Compared to the normal Wagoneer S', the interior of the Trailhawk has a new octagon-shaped steering wheel and a red-coloured switch panel behind the gear selector for the drive mode and diff lock rockers. Also present is the passenger-side grab handle, a feature added to the dashboard. Other bits include elastic straps in the lower centre console and doors for holding gear.
Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept: Platform, Powertrain
The Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept sits on the same STLA large platform as the standard Wagoneer S. Considering this, we expect the company to offer the same 100.5kWh battery pack and dual-motor, 600hp powertrain for the Trailhawk. Jeep has yet to make it official, though.
For reference, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system of the Wagoneer S makes 592bhp and 836.5Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.4 seconds. While this delivers an EPA range of over 483 km, we expect the Trailhawk to return a lesser range.

We do not see Jeep bringing the Wagoneer S to India, let alone the Trailhawk version. However, within the next two years, Jeep could bring in its new-generation Compass, the work for which is ongoing. There is a possibility that Jeep may introduce a new 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine in the Compass. Currently, the Jeep Compass offers only a diesel engine in India as Jeep discontinued the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine owing to BS6 Phase II emissions norms.
