During the Wrangler SUV's launch, Jeep India announced that the Meridian will soon arrive in our market. The three-row SUV is due for an update this year. The car was recently spied on ahead of its official launch. The latest spy shots reveal significant design and interior details. Coming to the price, the Jeep Meridian facelift is expected to command a premium over the present-generation model, which retails in the range of Rs 33.60 lakh – Rs 39.66 lakh (ex-showroom). In our market, the model will continue to rival the MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and Toyota Fortuner.
Jeep Meridian Facelift: Design Changes
The facelift mode is expected to feature changes to the front bumper and some adjustments to the grille. Another upgrade might be a new headlight configuration with integrated DRLs. A radar hidden in the front bumper of the test mule suggests the possibility of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). It may also get a modified rear bumper, new alloy wheel designs, and updated taillight configurations. Additionally, compared to the existing version, a few more exterior paint options will be available on offer.
Jeep Meridian Facelift: Interior and Features
Except for new seat upholstery, not much is anticipated to change inside the Meridian SUV. The carmaker can also include a few standard equipment, inspired by the Night Eagle edition of the Compass, such as a dashcam and rear window blinds. The feature suit of the model will also include wireless phone charging, a digital driver's display, a 10.2-inch infotainment screen, a raised centre console, a 9-speaker Alpine-tuned audio system, a revamped aircon panel, connected car technology, a multifunctional steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control.

Jeep Meridian Facelift: Engine and Transmission
The technical components of the redesigned Jeep Meridian facelift will not change; it will still be driven by the same 2-litre diesel engine with a six-speed manual and a nine-speed automatic torque converter unit. The engine is good enough to produce 350Nm of peak torque and 168bhp of maximum power. Similar to the current model, the four-wheel drive (4WD) option will be only available with the top-of-the-line automatic variants.
