The new Meridian will use the same dashboard, but the chrome strip will be swapped out for a copper finish strip. It will also use the same 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and 9-speaker Alpine audio system. Other interior bits include a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, over 30 connected and remote functions, a 360-degree surround camera, a wireless charger, and six airbags as standard.

Depending on the market, the new Compass will get a range of powertrain options – ICE (internal combustion engine), mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric. In Europe, the base model could use a 1.2-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech. The electric version could come with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup, just like the Peugeot E-3008 – the first Stellantis model to ride on the STLA Medium platform. The latter claims a range of 700km on a single charge.
