The Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV is due to receive a facelift in the international market. To that end, a test mule of the updated Grand Cherokee has now been spotted testing offshore, hinting at a host of changes to the front fascia. Though camouflaged, the latest iteration of the Grand Cherokee is expected to get a wider grille, redesigned headlamps, repositioned parking sensors, and a reworked bumper with ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems). While the side and rear profiles appear to be quite similar to the current iteration, one can expect the updated version to come with newly designed alloy wheels. Some updates are expected on the inside too. There is a possibility that the 2025 Grand Cherokee may carry over a 12.0-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment screen from the larger Jeep Wagoneer, in turn delivering improved functionality and connectivity.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Facelift: Powertrain

Under the hood, the global-spec Grand Cherokee Facelift could get an updated version of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. In the Wrangler SUV, this engine makes 266bhp and 400Nm of peak torque, but it will be in a higher state of tune in the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Compared to the Wrangler, the power output is expected to go beyond 295bhp. This will put the upcoming Cherokee in a tussle with the Ford Explorer.

In India, the Grand Cherokee facelift will likely come with the same 2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and Quadra-Trac 4x4 system. In this state of tune, the engine produces 268bhp and 400Nm of peak torque.

Jeep launched the Grand Cherokee in India in 2022, and the model is assembled in India via CKD (completely knocked down) kits. Priced at Rs 80.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the SUV has a robust look thanks to its machine-cut 20-inch alloy wheels, body cladding, and squared-off wheel arches. The rear end features sleek LED taillights and a windscreen with chrome accents. It has a Jeep insignia and a seven-slat grille on the front end.
