Bookings for the 2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk are officially open at ₹ 50,000 across India.
FCA India has officially opened its order books for the upcoming 2019 Compass Trailhawk, the brand's first 'Trail-Rated' model in India. Potential customers can now head over to any of the 82 FCA dealerships across the country to book the Compass Trailhawk against a fully-refundable amount of ₹ 50,000.
Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Kevin Flynn – President & Managing Director of FCA India said, 'The Trailhawk is a product which is developed for customers looking for a hugely capable and exclusive SUV in the compact category. It is the first compact SUV to be offered with the 2.0-litre 173 PS, 350 Nm BS VI turbodiesel engine, nearly a year before the new emission norms come into effect and, it is the only compact SUV which comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission.'
Apart from being the first made-in-India Jeep model to get a 'Trail-Rated' badge, the Trailhawk also marks a significant milestone for Jeep in India as it will be their first model to get a BS-6 compliant motor. Also, potential customers & fans who have been waiting for the diesel-automatic combination will also see an end to their wait as the Trailhawk will bring in a 9-speed automatic transmission (torque converter) paired to the same 2.0-litre diesel motor as found in the regular Compass. However, the petrol variants of the Compass will continue to be offered with the 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT).
The Compass Trailhawk not only looks tougher but it gets a lot of additional off-road features and significant ergonomic upgrades which will make it one of the most capable 4x4 SUVs available in the Indian market when it goes on sale here.
