The Compass' entry-level petrol sport manual model has been discontinued by Jeep India. The base sport petrol variant of the SUV is no longer offered with a manual transmission; instead, it will exclusively come with an automatic transmission only.
The low demand for the Compass’ base-spec Sport trim is probably the cause of its discontinuation in India. However, the good thing for the buyers is that the Sport trim's diesel-MT and petrol-DCT powertrains have been kept, so the entry-level price has not changed. The following is the pricing of the different trims offered for the Compass.
Jeep Compass Sport | Price (Ex-showroom) |
Petrol MT (Discontinued) | Rs 21.09 lakh |
Diesel MT | Rs 21.09 lakh |
Petrol DCT | Rs 22.07 lakh |

The 1.4-litre MultiAir turbocharged petrol engine in the Jeep Compass sport manual produced 250Nm of peak torque and 160bhp of maximum power. A six-speed manual transmission was mated to the engine. Now, the SUV is available with the same engine but mated to a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission that powers the front wheels.
The Jeep Compass' Sport Petrol MT version came loaded with features like an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, single-zone climate control, keyless entry, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, higher variants come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen screen, a digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and ventilated front seats.
