Jeep has revised the Compass range's pricing in India. Following this, the base model of the SUV gets a significant price reduction of Rs 1.70 lakh. The price drop is applicable on the base variant of the Jeep Compass, whereas all other variants witness a price hike of Rs 17,000. As a result, the price of the SUV now starts at Rs 18.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 32.41 lakh. Previously, the retail price of the Compass Sport stood at Rs 20.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom figures. A total of six variants of the premium mid-size SUV are offered: Sport, Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited, Black Shark, and Model S.
Commenting on the occasion, Kumar Priyesh, Brand Director, Jeep India stated, 'We are thrilled to make the Jeep Compass even more accessible to our customers in India at a starting price of 18.99 lakhs we are enabling more people to enjoy the exceptional blend of performance, comfort, and technology that the Compass offers. This move is a testament to our commitment to our customers and our confidence in the strong desirability of the Jeep brand.'

Jeep Compass SUV: Powertrain Options
The Compass retains the same engine and feature set. A 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel mill, rated for 178bhp and 350Nm of peak torque, powers the Jeep Compass. Depending on the trim level, the unit can be coupled to a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic gearbox, with power going to the front or all four wheels. It is important to note that only the manual gearbox is available for the base Compass Sport. Last year, Jeep removed the petrol engine option for the Compass, leaving the car solely available in diesel.
Jeep Compass SUV: Feature Set
The Jeep Compass gains various comfort improvements, including an eight-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, with the front passenger seat remaining manually adjusted. It also features a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, wireless charging, and ventilated front seats. Besides this, the Compass comes standard with six airbags, and extra amenities comprise ABS with EBD, ESC, a 360-degree camera, Hill Start Assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Jeep Compass SUV: Rival Models
In the Indian market, the Compass competes against the likes of the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Hyundai Tucson, and the Citroen C5 Aircross. Meanwhile, Jeep India has recently launched the revised Meridian X Special Edition, which includes cosmetic upgrades and new features for the three-row SUV.
