Jeep is likely to bring the highly anticipated Jeep Avenger SUV to our shores.
Jeep is expected to increase the number of SUVs it sells in India. Although Jeep hasn't divulged any information regarding its plans for new products in India, still speculations are rife that it might bring the recently unveiled Jeep Avenger SUV to our market sometime in 2023. If launched in India, the Jeep Avenger SUV is most likely to lock horns with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hyundai Creta.
On the mechanical front, Jeep will bring the model with a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine, which will generate 100bhp and will only be offered with a manual transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) will be available as an option. Additionally, a mild-hybrid version with a 54kWh battery pack made by Stellantis, producing 156bhp and 260Nm, will also be available. The range for the Jeep Avenger electric vehicle is expected to be 400 kilometres.
