Jaguar Land Rover has opened a new Parts Distribution Centre(PDC) in Bhiwandi, near Mumbai to speed up regional supply chain velocity.

Spread over 70,000 square feet, the Parts Distribution Centre will have regionally-optimised inventory supporting both Jaguar and Land Rover brands. It will be controlled by JLR’s central Inventory Management team.

Rohit Suri, President of Jaguar Land Rover India, said: “This world-class Parts Distribution Centre will further strengthen our service levels and the investment reinforces JLR' s long term commitment to the Indian market.”

The PDC will also house a dedicated, on-site, Customer Service Team to handle queries of buyers and across both brands.

Safety of the warehouse is ensured with the presence of state-of-the-art fire-fighting system and smoke-detection apparatus. In-rack sprinklers are also provided in addition to the overhead ones.

Jaguar Land Rover vehicles are currently available in India from its dealership network spreading across 21 cities, including Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, and Pune.
