Jaguar has introduced a new online range calculator, public charging service and the Go I-PACE App to enhance the ownership experience of the all-electric I-PACE.

Electric vehicles, irrespective of geographies, have always been under scrutiny from prospective & present owners for their rather tricky ergonomics and infrastructure-hungry needs. So, to ease the ownership experience of the I-PACE owners, Jaguar has introduced a triad of digital tools & services to manage the running costs of the I-PACE more efficiently.

Jaguar I PACE Online Range Calculator

The online range calculator lets an owner customise several parameters Driving Profile (Urban, Motorway & Combined), Interior-Environment (HVAC), Wheel Size & Outdoor Temperature to determine the car's driving range. This allows the owner to figure out variations in range & running costs in different conditions.

The new 'simple-tariff' charging service, which can be accessed through a dedicated Jaguar Public Charging App, gives I-PACE owners access to more than 1,10,000 public plug-in charge points across Europe against a single monthly bill. The bill generation takes place by either using a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) model or a fixed subscription fee.

Jaguar I PACE Go I PACE App

By using the Go I-PACE App, users can get insights into aspects like potential cost savings, battery consumption per trip and the number of full charges that would be required to cover the distance driven, all by tracking individual user journey data via the location services on a smartphone.

Based on data collected by the Go I-PACE App, Jaguar has been able to determine that across Europe, nearly 85 per cent of I-PACE owners are able to cover their weekly mileage with a maximum of just two full vehicle charges, with 54 per cent only needing to charge once every seven days.

With these new digital tools, the I-PACE's in-built range-optimising technology (like the battery pre-conditioning system, which optimises the battery's temperature while charging) is likely to get an additional boost.
