The F-Pace is now available with Jaguar's 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol motor; like its diesel derivative, it will also be available in the Prestige trim.
JLR India has launched a petrol derivative of its F-Pace SUV. The unit powering the petrol model is Jaguar's familiar 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged Ingenium motor which, in the F-Pace, develops 247bhp.
At the launch of the locally-assembled petrol F-Pace, Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director at JLR India said, 'In the two years since its launch in India, the Jaguar F-Pace has captivated the imagination of Jaguar fans and our discerning customers. With the launch of the locally manufactured Ingenium petrol derivative of the F-Pace, the appeal of our first Jaguar SUV is further enhanced.'
When the Jaguar F-Pace was initially brought to the country via the CBU route, the car did not really take off in terms of sales figures. However, when Jaguar rolled out locally-assembled units of the F-Pace last year, the resulting price drop indeed made the F-Pace a lucrative option for SUV enthusiast across the country. Further, by limiting the F-Pace model lineup to just the mid-spec Prestige variant, the buying decision and process has been simplified for customers.
For the 2019 model year, Jaguar has fitted the F-Pace with features such as park assist, lane-keep assist, cabin air ionisation, driver condition monitor, 360-degree parking sensors, adaptive LED headlights, Wi-Fi Hotspot connectivity and a 10.2-inch multimedia touchscreen. Additional styling changes in the MY2019 model include illuminated metal treadplates, chrome switches for the 10-way seat adjust, suede-covered roof lining and sporty metal pedal covers.
At ₹ 63.17 lakh (Ex-showroom), the petrol F-Pace is priced ₹ 40,000 less than its 2.0-litre diesel derivative.
