Prices starting at Rs 68.4 lakh, the Jaguar F-Pace is now on sale in India.
After having announced its price earlier this month, Jaguar Land Rover today has officially launched the F-Pace in India. The F-Pace, Jaguar's first ever SUV can now be bought in India. The lower Pure and Prestige variants of the F-Pace come with 2.0-litre diesel engine are priced at Rs 68.40 lakh and Rs 74.50 lakh respectively. The R-Sport and the First Edition on the other hand get a 3.0-litre power plant and are priced at Rs 1.02 crore and Rs 1.12 core respectively. You can now also book the F-Pace online.
The F-Pace is the first ever Jaguar SUV. That being said, this new SUV, like any other Jaguar offering is based on an aluminum construction with the intention of reduction in weight and an effective increase in efficiency. To endow the F-Pace with optimal driving dynamics, Jaguar has managed to achieve near 50:50 weight distribution.
The lower variants of the Jaguar F-Pace will come with a 2.0-litre diesel motor that is good for 177bhp. The higher variants come with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel motor that pumps peak power of 296bhp and Max torque of an impressive 700Nm. The larger 3.0-litre motor can help the F-Pace cross the 100km/h mark in just 6.2 seconds. Both these engines come mated to a ZF sourced eight-speed automatic transmission.
Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India, commented on the official India launch of the new F-Pace in India by saying, “With dynamic design language and practicality at its core, the All-New Jaguar F-PACE is already setting benchmarks globally. We have received an overwhelming response for the car worldwide and we expect the same in India as well. It is indeed one of the most awaited products in the Indian market. The launch of F-PACE ushers Jaguar into the SUV market; a smooth ride that will mark the dawn of a new era for Jaguar in India.”
Rocking the center stage alongside the Jaguar F-Pace was renowned Bollywood singer Shankar Mahadevan who enthralled the audience with his singing. Also gracing the occasion was Former Indian Formula1 driver Narain Karthikeyan.
