Jaguar has launched the R-Dynamic Black Edition of the E-PACE – an exclusive version of its crossover SUV – that sits below the F-PACE. It comes with exterior tweaks and an updated multimedia system
Jaguar has updated its E-PACE crossover SUV with R-Dynamic Black Edition. The updates mainly include cosmetic changes to the exterior and some on the interiors. To start with the changes on the outside, the E-PACE R-Dynamic Black edition gets gloss black detailing where you’d find chrome on the standard SUV. The front grille surround, mirror caps, and window brims have been blacked out. The badging on the tailgate is black as well. The 19-inch alloys on this new edition are finished in Satin grey, and to add a sporty element, the brake calipers have been painted red. A new Ostuni White colour is on offer with this new edition.
The cabin in the R-Dynamic Black Edition sees a 12.3-inch infotainment system as opposed to the 10-inch unit in the standard model. The larger infotainment system comes equipped with Pivi Pro – Jaguar and Land Rover’s touch intuitive infotainment system. The British carmaker has promised that the system will soon be equipped with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto via over-the-air updates. The instrument cluster is an 11.4-inch unit that features curved glass for intuitive readability.
The E-PACE crossover R-Dynamic Black Edition gets two engine choices a 1.5-litre Ingenium petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel with a nine or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both the engines come mated to a Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) or a plug-in Hybrid technology. The R-Dynamic Black Edition is available with a variety of tune ranging from 158bhp up to 304bhp. The higher variants benefit from an all-wheel-drive system as well.
The prices in the U.K start at £40,945 that converts to Rs 42.26 lakh as of today. The most affordable SUV that Jaguar sells in India is the F-PACE – which sits above the E-PACE in the manufacturers’ hierarchy internationally. There is no official word from Jaguar India on plans to launch the E-PACE in India. Jaguar’s India division is currently accepting bookings for the facelift F-PACE that will be launched in the coming months.
