Japanese car maker Isuzu will now aim to establish its presence as a key automobile player in India, and they have just entered into North India by opening its exclusive outlet in New Delhi. Isuzu also announced that they would open outlets in Gurgaon, Noida, Jaipur, and Ludhiana this year, as well as Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Lucknow, Kanpur and Udaipur by next year to cater to the entire Northern region.

The company has also launched its India-made range of “D-Max” pick-up trucks, which is also one of the largest selling pickup trucks in the world, thanks to substantial sales in other south-east Asian countries. The D-Max range comprises of three models – two cabin options and two deck options. The D-Max Single cab will be available in flat deck and the D-Max Space Cab will be available in both flat deck and arched deck variants. The D-Max Single Cab is priced at an introductory launch price of Rs. 5,89,000 ex-showroom Delhi and the D-Max Space Cab is priced at Rs. 6,09,000 ex-showroom Delhi for the flat deck variant and Rs.6,99,000 ex-showroom Delhi for the arched deck variant respectively.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Takashi Kikuchi, Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, said, “We are extremely happy to open our first outlet in North India. North is an important region for us, contributing to approximately 30% of the total pickup sales in the country. With this launch and our global quality vehicles, we are optimistic about establishing a strong foothold in the Indian pickup truck segment.”
