Isuzu India has launched a new cab chassis variant of its well-known D-Max pickup truck to satisfy customers' needs in a range of industries, including last-mile delivery, food & catering, and FMCG. Called the 'D-MAX 1.7 Cab-Chassis', the new edition has an attractive sticker price of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It sports an aerodynamic design and a sturdy appearance, along with a heavy-duty iGRIP chassis and a high-tensile steel cab. According to Isuzu 'The new variant allows customers to have the flexibility to construct their own load-bodies suited to their business requirements.'
The D-Max Cab Chassis model is propelled by the 2.5-litre ISUZU 4JA1 diesel engine, which is also used in the company's other commercial pickup trucks. This engine generates 78bhp at 3,800rpm and 176Nm at 1,500-2,400rpm, and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Isuzu D-Max 1.7 Cab-Chassis Standard Variant: Other Highlights
The vehicle packs a range of functional and safety features, such as a multi-information display with a gearshift indicator, height-adjustable seat belts, and a collapsible steering column. It also has a Brake Override System that shuts the engine power in the event of panic braking, and underbody steel protection for the drivetrain, which increases longevity, especially in harsh circumstances.
