Hyundai Venue E+ Variant with Electric Sunroof Launched in India at Rs 8.23 Lakh

Hyundai has launched a new variant of the Venue in India. Priced at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Hyundai Venue E+ model sits above the base E variant in the lineup. It gets an electric sunroof, six airbags, and three-point seat belts for every passenger, among other features.

Hyundai has introduced a new variant of the Venue in India, dubbed 'the E+' to boost sales ahead of the festive season. Priced at Rs 8.23 lakh, the new E+ variant is Rs 29,000 more expensive than the standard E trim, which costs Rs 7.94 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. It is packed with an array of features like an electric sunroof, six airbags, three-point seat belts for every passenger, a digital instrument panel, a two-step rear seat recline function, 60:40 split rear seats, an adjustable IRVM for day and night, hill-start assist control and electronic stability control.

For those unaware, Hyundai expanded the Venue lineup in India with the S(O) + and S+ models last month. The latter costs Rs 9.36 lakh, whereas the former is priced at Rs 10 lakh.

Hyundai Venue: Engine

The compact SUV comes with three engine options: a 1.5-litre diesel, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol. The 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (5-speed manual gearbox) churns out 82bhp and 115Nm, while the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT) produces 118bhp and 172Nm. The diesel unit (6-speed manual gearbox), on the other hand, develops 250Nm and 114bhp. Similar to the base E variant, the new Hyundai Venue E+ comes with a naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine and 5-speed MT.

Hyundai August 2024 Sales

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded sales of 63,175 units overall in August 2024 (49,525 domestically and 13,650 overseas). It sold over 5.13 lakh units between January and August of this year, marking an increase of 2.06% over the same period last year. Sharing his thoughts on the sales, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director, and Chief Operating Officer, HMIL said, 'SUVs, led by models like Creta, Venue, and Exter remain a key growth driver for HMIL in 2024 with 66.8% contribution to domestic sales. We are soon going to launch the bold new 6 and 7-seater SUV, Hyundai Alcazar, and we are confident of a strong festive season response to this new launch.'
