Customers can book the new Hyundai Venue by paying a minimum amount of Rs 21,000. Bookings can be made online on Hyundai’s official website or at any of the authorized dealerships.
Unveiled last month, Hyundai has commenced official bookings for its new sub-4 metre SUV – Venue. Customers can book the Venue on Hyundai’s official website or at any of the dealership outlets by paying a minimum amount of Rs 21,000. The Korean carmaker will announce the price and commence the sale of the car on 21st May.
Hyundai will bring in the Venue compact SUV with three engine options – two petrols and one diesel. The petrol will come fitted with a 1.2-litre motor that will push 83bhp and 115Nm to the front wheels. There will also be a 1.0-litre petrol on offer that churns out 120bhp and 172Nm. The former will come paired with a 5-speed manual while the latter will get the option of a 6-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic. The diesel, on the other hand, will be the same unit that we have already seen on the Elite i20 and the lower-spec versions of the Creta. The 1.4-litre unit makes 90 horses and 220Nm, and comes paired with a 6-speed manual.
Hyundai promises that the Venue to be a connected car with a truckload of equipment. Apart from the touchscreen infotainment, start-stop normalities, the Venue will also come loaded with a Vodafone sim card for data and connectivity services.
When launched, the Venue will compete against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV3OO. Each of these cars has their own strength and Hyundai hopes to find its niche with the connected car technology that will be seen on the Venue – certainly a segment first.
