Hyundai has revealed the brand-new Mufasa Adventure SUV concept in China. Reportedly, the SUV's production model will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April, with a launch scheduled for the Chinese market in June this year. This new SUV by Hyundai, according to market reports, will be positioned slightly above the Creta (known as the iX25 in China) and below the Tucson. Currently, there is no word from the manufacturer about the launch of the SUV in India. Industry reports suggest that the new model could be used as a reference for styling Hyundai SUVs in India. The new SUV with off-road capabilities sports a sturdy appearance. Here's detailed information on the upcoming SUV in China in terms of specs, design, and more.
Hyundai Mufasa: Design
The concept SUV has a sizable grille, painted in glossy black, similar to the Tucson and the Creta models offered in international markets. Further, this new SUV has an oval-shaped taillight unit in the rear, like the one on the Hyundai Santa Fe model sold in China.

Overall, the Hyundai Mufasa Adventure concept SUV sports a sturdy off-road appearance with its increased ground clearance and broad tracks, highlighted by a lift kit and a set of wide, gripping off-road tyres mounted on 18-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, it has redesigned side sills, bonnet handles, and accents made of faux aluminium for the front and rear bumpers.
Hyundai hasn't yet disclosed any details regarding the Mufasa SUV's interior. The new SUV, however, is expected to sport a dual touchscreen display that functions as both the instrument cluster and the infotainment system. More information is likely to be revealed closer to the launch.
Hyundai Mufasa: Dimensions
Talking about dimensions, the new SUV concept is 4,475mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and up to 1,685mm in height (depending on the version). Moreover, it has a 2,680mm of wheelbase. Reportedly, its dimensions are identical to the company's flagship Tucson model. The two-row, five-seat SUV will presumably take the position of Hyundai's well-liked ix35 model in the Chinese market.
Hyundai Mufasa: Mechanical Details
The 2.0-litre petrol engine is likely to power the production-spec Hyundai Mufasa SUV. Additionally, a hybrid version with a 48-volt electric motor is rumoured to be available as well.
