The Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV will support 800V charging technology, which will allow it to charge from 10% to 80% via a 350kW charger in just 18 minutes.
The South Korean automaker is all set to launch the Hyundai Ioniq 5 tomorrow in India. The specifications of the highly awaited model will be officially disclosed at the launch. It is expected to come packed with two battery pack options – a 72.6kWh unit and a 58kWh battery pack, offering a range of about 384 Kilometres and 481 Kilometres, respectively. The upcoming model might be available with RWD and AWD drivetrain options, just like the international variant.

The Ioniq 5's exterior is dominated by square-shaped headlamps and taillights, angular cuts and creases, and distinctive wheels. The Hyundai electric crossover borrows its exterior styling from the Hyundai Pony. Inside, customers will find environmentally-friendly upholstery. An eco-processed leather covers the seats, and other soft furnishing found in the cabin uses sustainable fibres. The interior will also feature powered front and rear seats with memory function, two 12.25-inch screens, a Bose sound system, a moonroof, dual-zone temperature control, and more.

The South Korean automaker will bring the model into our market as a CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit). It will commence taking pre-orders for the electric crossover from tomorrow onwards. The prices of the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be revealed in January, but it is expected to cost around ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
