Hyundai has unveiled a brand-new, off-road-focused version of the Inster electric SUV for the global market. Called the Inster Cross, the SUV sports a robust design with features like 17-inch alloy wheels, black cladding, reworked front and rear bumpers with a side skirt, and a roof rack. It comes with lime-yellow hues throughout the grey cloth upholstery and dashboard elements on the inside. Hyundai claims that the production of the adventure-ready Inster Cross will begin later this year, with prices to be announced closer to the launch. The rugged SUV will reportedly go on sale in markets like Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific.

Hyundai Inster Cross: Other Details
Although the Inster Cross's design is more outdoor-oriented than its conventional counterpart, it still has the same mechanical specifications, such as the standard and Long Range fully electric drivetrains. The base version features a 42kWh battery and a 94bhp single electric motor. The Long Range model, on the other hand, gets a larger 49kWh battery and a more potent 111.4bhp electric motor. With its 120 kW DC fast charger, the Inster can be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. Though little information is available, Hyundai claims the new variant may provide up to 360 km of all-electric range. Moreover, the SUV has front-wheel drive.
The Inster Cross comes in a unique Amazonas Green Matte hue, in addition to the standard colour schemes available with the standard model (Aero Silver Matte, Atlas White, Unbleached Ivory, Abyss Black Pearl, and Tomboy Khaki). It's noteworthy that several of these finishes are available in a dual-tone configuration with a black roof.

It has front-row bench seats and second-row seats that can be folded flat or splayed 50:50 with the reclining feature. Moreover, the seats can be moved forward and backwards independently. The cargo area has a capacity of 280 to 351 litres, depending on setup. Similar to its standard counterpart, the Hyundai Inster Cross features several driver assistance technologies.
