Hyundai has been spotted testing an updated i30 in Europe which is expected to be introduced soon.
Our Italian partners, Quattroroute have spotted Hyundai Motors testing out a new version of their i30 hatchback. The car which was spotted was a five-door version of the hatchback which was sporting a fully draped front end while the wheels and the rear bumper have been redone and are clearly visible.
The visible rear end hints that the styling for the updated i30 has been inspired by the new sportier version from the new N family. The rear bumper is new and styled to look more like the i30N. It seems likely that Hyundai will also deliver similar treatment to the front end styling of the new i30 with additional air intakes for improved airflow. It is possible that Hyundai could introduce an N line of products similar to Kia’s GT line up of slightly sportier and aggressively styled products.
This would lead to a sportier range of Hyundai which could be offered with aesthetic changes with different trim options with onboard electronics for a sportier drive and feel. However, it is also possible that Hyundai might just offer these updates with the standard version of the cars themselves.
