The Hyundai Grand i10 will get dearer from the month of August 2018.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd has just announced that from the month of August 2018, their Grand i10 hatchback will see a hike in prices of up to 3%.

The manufacturer has stated that the rise in prices is credited to an increase in input and material cost and new prices will be implemented from next month.

The Grand i10 is offered in India with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine which develops 81bhp and 113Nm of torque. This engine is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, in addition to an option of a 4-speed automatic. The diesel option is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine which is tuned to churn out 74bhp and 190Nm of torque and is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Currently, the manual petrol variant of the Grand i10 is priced from Rs 4.7 – 6.5 lakh while the automatic is priced from Rs 6.2 – 6.9 lakh. While the diesel option features a price tag of Rs 5.9 – 7.5 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi. With the increase in prices of around 3% depending on the variant, the Grand i10 will become marginally more expensive from August 2018.
