The previous model was available in both petrol and diesel engines, and the new Grandeur is expected to offer a variety of powertrain options, including a plug-in hybrid.
Hyundai has unveiled the Grandeur sedan, also known as the Azera in markets outside of South Korea. The overall appearance of the new generation sedan differs significantly from that of the previous model. Hyundai is yet to disclose the Grandeur sedan's technical specifications, which will replace the Sonata in the manufacturer's international line-up. Now let's look into what this upcoming sedan has to offer.
Exterior
The 2023 Grandeur has a distinctive design that features a fascia similar to the futuristic-looking Staria minivan in front. While the real headlights are located lower on the bumper in a separate cluster to flank a large grille, an LED light bar extends the entire width of the car. A full-width light bar identical to the one up front can be found towards the back, continuing the polished look. The rearview camera is located above the large "Grandeur" branding in the middle of the trunk lid.
Interior
This Hyundai sedan's interior, like its exterior, is a significant deviation from the model it replaces. The dashboard has a dual-screen, and the center console has a display for controlling climate settings. It features a three-spoke steering wheel inspired by the original model. As per the automaker, it also comprises 'ECP-process' Nappa leather along with anti-bacterial leather on certain touch points.
Technical Details
The previous model was available in both petrol and diesel engines, and the new Grandeur is expected to offer a variety of powertrain options, including a plug-in hybrid. Further information regarding the car's powertrain might be revealed in the coming week, ahead of a possible worldwide debut early next year. However, it is unlikely that Hyundai will introduce the Grandeur to the Indian market.
