It has long been anticipated that Hyundai Motor Group will introduce the Genesis brand of cars to India, given the country's burgeoning luxury automobile market. A few months ago, multiple test mules of the standard Genesis GV80 were seen cruising on Indian roads. In a recent development, the company has filed trademarks for the Genesis GV80 and the GV80 Coupe. The manufacturer launched the updated versions of both models in the international market in October last year. While the patent for the standard model was filed in April this year, the one for its coupe counterpart was filed earlier this month. It is important to note that Hyundai has not yet officially confirmed the launch of the Genesis brand in India

Hyundai Genesis GV80 Coupe SUV: Design Cues
The Genesis GV80 sedan and coupe are examples of cutting-edge, opulent design. Its robust athletic stance radiates strength with its bold lines and muscular proportions. The sleek two-line headlights on either side of the iconic crest grille combine to create a unique and instantly identifiable front fascia. The rear end mimics the front's elegance with integrated taillights that span the vehicle's width.
Hyundai Genesis GV80 Coupe SUV: Anticipated Engine Options
As for the international markets, two engine options are available for the GV80: a 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 296bhp and 422Nm, and a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine with 375bhp of maximum power and 530Nm of peak torque. The GV80 comes with both the standard 3.5-litre engine and a mildly hybridised version of the same engine. This variant belts out 549Nm of maximum torque and 409bhp of peak power.

Hyundai Genesis GV80 Coupe SUV: Interior and Safety Features
In addition to air conditioning vents spanning the whole width of the dashboard, housing the physical climate control system controls, the cars' interiors include a 27-inch touchscreen that serves as both the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.
The upcoming Coupe SUV will boast a host of contemporary features such as cruise control, wireless device charging, head-up display, three-zone climate control, and ventilated front and back seats. Additionally, the car comes equipped with ADAS features like parking collision avoidance assist, safe exit assist, rearview camera, advanced rear occupant alert, driver attention warning, forward attention warning, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, blind-spot view monitor, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, parking distance warning, and parking collision avoidance assist.
If the Hyundai Genesis GV80 Coupe SUV makes its way to the Indian market, it will face off against the Audi Q7, BMW X5, and Mercedes-Benz GLE.
