Hyundai will shortly launch the much-anticipated Exter SUV in India. Ahead of its market introduction, the carmaker has made its interior public. Last month, Hyundai teased the rear design of the model. The SUV has a square design, split headlights, a slanted snout, and a tailboard with a slanted rear window. It gets an H-shaped LED taillight at the rear, which imitates the front DRL. The wheel arches on the SUV, are rounded, and little flared. In a recent development, the carmaker has teased the interior. On the inside, the SUV will have an 8-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system and a digital cluster with a 4.2-inch colour TFT Multi-Information Display that supports Bluelink technology. Other notable features inside include over-the-Air (OTA) infotainment, map updates, over 60 linked features, and 90 voice commands built-in. Hyundai Exter: Interior Features
As mentioned, the SUV gets an 8-inch HD touchscreen and advanced digital cluster with a 4.2-inch colour TFT MID. The infotainment system, sports built-in navigation. Additionally, it is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. According to Hyundai, the advanced digital cluster's colour TFT MID will offer a wealth of information related to Parking Distance, Door Open, Sunroof Open, 10 Regional + 2 Global languages, drive statistics, TPMS (Highline), as well as seatbelt reminder displays for all seats.
In addition, the Exter SUV sports the industry's first Home to Car (H2C) Alexa in both Hindi and English. It has seven acoustic profiles and ambient sounds of the natural world for various moods of the user. The seats have semi-leatherette upholstery with 'Exter' branding.
With a large DLO (Day-Light Opening) and a rear window glass size, rear passengers will have maximum visibility. Additionally, according to the automaker, the SUV sports a low loading height and a rear transverse height that increases the utility and convenience of the cargo area to offer comfort when loading and unloading luggage.
Hyundai Exter: Dimensions & Safety
Dimensionally, the SUV's wheelbase is 2,450mm, its height is 1,631 mm, and its entire length is between 3,800mm and 3,900mm. Six airbags will be standard equipment on the Hyundai Exter since the Indian government will make this mandatory shortly for our market. These six airbags will be standard on every model. In addition, Hyundai offers up to 26 safety features across all models, except for the E and S variants.

Hyundai Exter: Powertrain
For propulsion, the SUV will have a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a compressed natural gas (CNG) alternative. The petrol model will employ a five-speed manual or an AMT automatic transmission, whereas the CNG version will only use a manual gearbox. Additionally, there will be five trim levels for the Exter: base EX, mid-range S, top-of-the-line SX, and optional SX(O) Connect. Higher-spec modes will get extras like a small sunroof and a rear camera.
