The Exter SUV from Hyundai Motor will soon be available in the Indian market. The carmaker has been teasing a number of the SUV's features ahead of its arrival, including its potential to compete with the Tata Punch and other cars in the segment. Potential buyers can book the SUV for Rs 11,000 at any vetted dealer or on the company's website. From time to time, Hyundai has been tweeting out tidbits of information about its Exter SUV. In the most recent post, Hyundai showed the vehicle's rear design. Hyundai has already unveiled a few innovations, like the Smart Electric Sunroof and a Dash Cam with Dual Camera. This function is missing from rival SUVs like the Punch and the Citroen C3. The new vehicle will be available with either a compressed natural gas or inline four cylinder normally aspirated petrol engine.

Hyundai Exter: Features
According to HMIL, the next Exter will include various segment-first technologies, such as a Smart Electric Sunroof and a Dash Cam with Dual Camera. The Dual-Camera dashcam has a front and rear camera, an LCD display of 5.84 cm (2.31 inches), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity through a smartphone app and an array of recording settings. Hyundai Exter: Design
Although Hyundai has teased the Exter, spy photographs have already shown its final look. It features a square shape, split headlights, an inclined snout, and a tailboard with a slanted rear window. The rear has an H-shaped LED taillight that mimics the front DRL.
The cladding on Hyundai's smallest SUV is thick and the wheel arches are rounded and slightly flared. There are two-tone paint options that give the impression of a floating roof, as well as exquisite dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, and a textured C-pillar treatment. Hyundai has not yet provided any details about the Exter's interior.
Hyundai Exter: Safety
The South Korean company seems to place a high priority on safety. Hyundai Exter will be equipped with six airbags from the factory since this number is expected to be mandated by the Indian government soon. Every variant will be equipped with these six airbags as standard. In addition, with the exception of the E and S variants, Hyundai promises up to 26 safety features across all models.
Hyundai Exter: Engine
The Exter will have a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a compressed natural gas (CNG) alternative. The petrol vehicle is available with either a five-speed manual or an AMT automatic gearbox, however, the CNG type is only available with a manual gearbox.
The Exter will be available in five trim levels: basic EX, mid-range S, high-end SX, and optional SX(O) Connect. Six airbags are standard on all models, with higher trims adding features such as a small sunroof and a rear camera.
