Since its introduction, the Hyundai Creta has been a popular choice among SUV buyers in India. It recently received a substantial facelift, which boosted its status among its rivals. With a selling price ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20.15 lakh (both prices,ex-showroom), the new Creta has already received more than 51,000 bookings in just a month of its launch. While we've compared the Creta facelift with a few of its well-known peers, such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Kia Seltos, its main opponent, the Elevate from Honda's stable, is left. In this article, we're going to contrast the 2024 Creta against the Honda Elevate on a spectrum of parameters, such as design and powertrain. If you're considering about purchasing one of these compact SUVs, let's look at how they differ.

Hyundai Creta vs Honda Elevate: Engine

While the Creta continues to maintain multiple powertrains in its new avatar, the brand-new Elevate has a single engine. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) gasoline unit and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel motor are untouched in the new Creta. But with the refresh, it gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged GDi petrol motor. Available gearboxes include a six-speed manual, CVT automatic, seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and six-speed clutchless manual.

The Elevate, on the other hand, is propelled by the same 1.5-litre iVTEC gasoline motor used in the Honda City sedan. The transmission choices are a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed CVT.

The South Korean automaker has made major improvements to the Creta's look. Some prominent aesthetic characteristics of the 2024 edition comprise quad-beam LED headlamps, a black chrome parametric radiator grille, an aerodynamic spoiler, fresh connected LED taillamps, fresh-looking 5-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, and a new tailgate. Meanwhile, the Elevate's sharp and slender headlamps add to the eye-catching external appearance. Among the SUV's noticeable design traits are a large grille embossed with the Honda logo,  diamond-cut R17 alloy wheels, LED turn indicators, LED daytime running lights, as well as LED taillamps.

The new Creta has a wheelbase of 2,610mm and measures 4,330mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,635mm in height. Contrary to this, the Honda Elevate is 1,790mm wide, 1,650mm tall, and 4,312mm long. Both SUVs feature imposing outward designs, but because of its shorter length than the new Creta, the Elevate has less road presence.
