The bookings for the upcoming Hyundai Creta N Line, the third offering for India, are underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000.
After teasing its Creta N Line SUV on social media, Hyundai has revealed the exterior design of the sportier variant in a set of images. Similar to the N Line models, the Creta N Line gets a sportier front fascia defined by a slender grille as well as a revised bumper with silver inserts, large air inlets, cuts and creases. Meanwhile, other things – L-shaped LED daytime running lights and headlamps – remain the same. On the sides, there are N Line-specific red accents and side skirts, N Line badging, and bigger 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers. The regular Creta model, in comparison, comes with 16- and 17-inch wheels.
At the rear, the Creta N Line features a reworked bumper, dual-tip exhaust pipes, and a larger roof-mounted spoiler. The side skirts and red accents can also be seen. Hyundai has also introduced a new colour scheme on the car – Thunder blue with a Black roof. It remains to be seen whether the carmaker will offer the Matte Grey colour option that was spotted undergoing testing last month.
While the company has yet to reveal the interior details, we expect the upcoming Creta N Line to get an all-black theme with subtle red highlights, an N Line-specific three-spoke steering wheel, gearshift lever, metal pads, and leather upholstery. There could also be the same 10.25-inch screens as the Creta facelift – an infotainment screen with in-built navigation and a digital driver display. Other elements include ventillated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, driving modes, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
Powering the Hyundai Creta N Line will be the same turbo-petrol engine as the facelifted Creta – which was launched last month. This means that the N Line will get a new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol unit, producing 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Aside from that, the suspension setup could receive the special N Line treatment.
The Hyundai Creta N Line will go on sale alongside the standard Creta, which falls between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Being a sportier version, the Creta N Line will command a premium over the regular version. The bookings for the upcoming car are underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000. This will be the third N Line model from the Korean brand in the country, all set for a market launch on March 11. The other two N Line models in India are the i20 N Line (Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12.52 lakh) and the Venue N Line (Rs 12.08 lakh to Rs 13.90 lakh). The prices are ex-showroom.
