The new Hyundai Creta is experiencing consistently strong demand and has become the eight highest selling car in India
Hyundai’s new mid-size SUV, Creta has met with overwhelming success ever since its launch in India. The company has now reported that it has received 3.40 lakh enquiries for its new SUV and has received over 70,000 bookings in the country! Globally, it has received over 15,770 orders as well from export markets.
Meanwhile on the passenger car sales chart in India, the Hyundai Creta has held on to the eighth spot for three consecutive months from August to October, 2015. Thereby, leaving some of its rather well established competitors considerably behind on the sales charts.
Commenting on the global success of Creta, Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing, HMIL said, “The Hyundai Creta launched in July as the perfect SUV is a trendsetter in the Indian market. Creta heralded a new chapter in Hyundai’s success story across the world showcasing HMIL’s success of ‘Make in India’ manufacturing initiative. Now the Creta goes global and we have received strong response from world markets. Our goal is to maximize our production to make 10,000 units of Creta to meet the global customers’ demand while maintaining our leadership position in the domestic market. With another success story of Creta, Hyundai reassures its commitment to the Indian market and promises to develop truly world class products.”
Going forward, Hyundai India is looking to increase production of the Creta up to 10,000 units in December of 2015 in order to meet the strong market demand and reduce waiting period for customers which is currently around 3 months.
