The 2024 Hyundai Creta was launched on January 16 and, within two months since then, Hyundai has bagged 75,000 bookings for the midsize SUV. The milestone comes within a month after the car clocked the 51,000-unit booking milestone on February 2023. As part of 2024 updates, the Hyundai Creta gets a redesigned front fascia defined by an upright hood, a parametric black chrome grille, new quad beam LED headlamps, inverted L-shaped LED daytime running lights, faux skid plates, and a reworked bumper. The car also has a redesigned tailgate at the back with integrated tail lights that feature H-shaped LED components. Completing the look is a sporty spoiler, a bulky bash plate, an integrated LED stop lamp, new dual-tone alloy wheels, and a shark fin antenna.
Twin 10.25-inch screens – an infotainment screen with in-built navigation and a digital driver display are the biggest talking points of the Creta's interior. You also get redesigned central AC vents with a single band of physical buttons as well as new upholstery options, depending on the variant. Other bits include ambient lighting, ventillated front seats, a leatherette D-Cut steering wheel, leatherette door armrest covering, an eight-way powered driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, all-wheel disc brakes, six airbags, 360-degree cameras, and a Level 2 ADAS suite with 19 functions.
Under the hood, the updated Hyundai Creta gets three engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine, and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit. The first two units have been upgraded to adhere to stricter BS6 Phase II emission norms, pushing out 144Nm/113bhp and 250Nm/114bhp, respectively. Meanwhile, the new turbocharged GDi petrol engine puts out 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. For transmission, there are four options on offer: a 6-speed manual, an IVT, a 7-speed DCT (standard), and a 6-speed automatic.
Price-wise, the new Hyundai Creta ranges from Rs. 11 lakh to Rs 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is offered in seven variants – E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O).
Hyundai Creta N Line to Launch on March 11
Hyundai is all set to launch its third N Line model in India on March 11. The bookings for the upcoming car are underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000. The sportier version will be available in two variants: N8 and N10, both offered with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol unit producing 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
While the company has yet to reveal interior details, we expect the Hyundai Creta N Line to offer an all-black theme with subtle red highlights, an N Line-specific three-spoke steering wheel, gearshift lever, metal pads, and leather upholstery. There could also be the same 10.25-inch screens as the Creta facelift – an infotainment screen with in-built navigation and a digital driver display. On offer will be three monotone and three dual-tone exterior shades.
