The current-generation Hyundai Creta made its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo and has been on sale since then. And now, Hyundai is working on the new-generation Creta SUV, which is expected to make its market entry next year (probably in February 2024). While the launch of the updated model is still months away, a test mule of the Hyundai Creta facelift was recently spotted testing near the Natrax facility, outside Indore, in Madhya Pradesh. This is the first time that the India-spec Hyundai Creta facelift has been spied testing on Indian roads. Largely the SUV was under wraps; however, we did get a glimpse of its vertical LED headlight cluster and new alloy wheels.
The Hyundai Creta facelift is largely inspired by the Hyundai Palisade SUV. The headlamp and the DRL (daytime running light) positioning are more in line with a family design language sported by most Hyundai SUVs. Besides, the SUV can also be seen wearing a new set of alloy wheels as found on the Alcazar. Size-wise, the wheels appear to be 18-inch units.

Apart from these visible updates, expect the facelifted version to also feature an all-new grille with a parametric jewel pattern, a redesigned tailgate with boomerang-shaped LED taillamps, a new bumper, etc.

Hyundai has not given a glimpse of the interior. However, speculations are rife that the interior of the SUV is likely to receive upgrades in the form of a new dashboard design, refreshed seat upholstery, and a digital instrument cluster. In addition, the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features and a 4-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters are also highly likely.
Hyundai Creta Facelift: Powertrain Details
In terms of powertrain, the Creta facelift is likely to get a new 1.5-litre petrol engine and an updated 1.5-litre diesel engine option. Other than these engine options, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol option, which was introduced with the new Verna, is also on the cards. For handling transmission duties, the SUV could come mated to a manual, DCT, automatic, or perhaps an iMT gearbox option.
