Today marks the official launch of the Creta facelift in India by Hyundai. The introductory price of the 2024 Creta starts at Rs 10.99 lakh for the base E variant (1.5-litre NA 6MT) and goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh for the top-spec SX(O) variant (1.5-litre diesel AT). All prices are ex-showroom. For a very long period, the Creta has been the best-selling mid-size SUV in the nation. With sales of over 9.80 lakh units since its 2015 debut, the model has cemented its dominance in the Indian auto industry. For 2024, the South Korean automaker has made some significant modifications to the styling and cabin of the car. Additional safety elements have also been added to the new Creta. For the uninitiated, the bookings for the facelifted model commenced earlier this year for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Prospective purchasers have the option to reserve the vehicle via the official website of the company or by visiting the nearest Hyundai dealership.

2024 Hyundai Creta: Engine and Transmission Options
Mechanically, the carmaker is sticking with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol mill and the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel unit seen in the previous model. The former dishes out a peak torque of 144Nm and 113bhp of maximum power. Meanwhile, the latter develops 114bhp of peak power and 250Nm of maximum torque. Notably, the new addition to the range is a 1.5-litre turbocharged GDi petrol engine that puts out 158bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque. Six-speed manual, CVT automatic, seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and six-speed clutchless manual transmissions are among the available options.
2024 Hyundai Creta: Exterior Design
Hyundai claims that the new Creta radiates a stronger posture and a head-turner look, built on Hyundai's Global Design Language of 'Sensuous Sportiness'. The most noticeable cosmetic change to the new Creta from the outgoing model is a redesigned front end. It receives a revised grille with a parametric jewel theme on either side of new vertically stacked twin-LED projector headlights with horizon LED positioning lamps and DRLs.
Thanks to the faux skid plate, the reprofiled front bumper has a chunky appearance. Except for newly designed 5-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, the facelifted Creta's side profile is essentially unchanged. It has an updated tailgate at the back with integrated tail lights that house H-shaped LED components. It additionally sports a new rear bumper with a bulky bash plate installed. Up to seven exterior paint jobs—six monotone and one dual-tone—can be had for the 2024 Creta. These include the all-new Robust Emerald Pearl, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and Atlas White with Black Roof (dual-tone).
2024 Hyundai Creta: Interior and Features
The Creta has always been an extremely feature-rich car. With amenities like new leatherette seats, two integrated 10.25-inch units (one for the infotainment and another for instrumentation), a leatherette-wrapped gear shifter, a flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, an eight-way power driver seat, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera, surround view and blind spot view monitors, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, a Bose premium sound system with eight speakers, and a panoramic sunroof, it continues the trend in its 2024 iteration.
Hyundai made six airbags standard on all of its vehicles last year. The company also added several additional standard safety features. In a similar vein, the Creta facelift is equipped with over 70 safety features, of which 36 are standard. These features include electronic stability control, six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and all-wheel disc brakes. Moreover, the highest-spec models come with 19 features of Level 2 ADAS (Hyundai SmartSense).
