Hyundai's best-selling Creta gets refreshed for the 2018 model year.
Hyundai has launched the facelfited version of the Creta SUV in India. It is priced between ₹9.43 lakh - 15.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The updated Creta brings with it a new, much larger front grille with Hyundai’s new cascading effect that’s highlighted by the chrome border. The horizontal chrome slats of the grille have made way for a blacked-out look. Both the bumpers have been updated, and the front one now also houses DRLs next to the redesigned fog lamps. Reprofiled tail lamps and new alloys complete the look.
With this facelift, the Creta gains some new premium features like an electric sunroof, wireless charging pad for smartphones, six-way powered driver’s seat adjustment, sliding front armrest, cruise control and a new smart key band that also works as a wearable fitness tracker. Then, the infotainment system on the updated Creta comes with Auto Link - which connects the car to a smartphone to track its health, monitor driving patterns, make a service request or call for roadside assistance.
No mechanical changes have been made on the facelifted Creta. The vehicle continues to be powered by two diesel and petrol engines. The base diesel is a 1.4-litre unit that produces 88bhp and 220Nm. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The bigger 1.6-litre diesel produces 126bhp and 260Nm, while the 1.6-litre petrol churns out 121bhp and 150Nm. Both these engines also get the option of a 6-speed torque converter gearbox in addition to the standard 6-speed manual.
