The images of the Hyundai Creta EV undertaking extensive road tests have emerged online. While the South Korean firm hasn't announced an official launch date, the new EV is expected to be available in India by the end of the year. Its front end will differ slightly from the petrol version, with a closed-off grille and a revised bumper. As opposed to the machined or dual-tone, the EV will have a new design for alloy wheels. Aside from that, the car will most likely incorporate EV-specific branding features on the front, side, and rear profiles. At the moment, there are no interior shots of the car. However, the new electrified Creta is expected to have changed upholstery, a rotary dial for driving modes, and other EV-specific embellishments. Let's take a closer look at some other possible features of the Hyundai Creta EV in India.
Hyundai Creta EV: Powertrain
Although the Creta EV's technical specifications are currently unclear, industry reports indicate that Hyundai's electric vehicle will run on a 55–60kWh battery pack, which may provide a range of roughly 550 kilometres on a single charge. It could come with fast-charging technologies that permit users to successfully and quickly charge their cars. By incorporating Hyundai's BlueLink technology, real-time data on charging locations and battery conditions might boost the user experience.
Hyundai Creta EV: Features
Though there is no formal confirmation, the upcoming vehicle will have the majority of the features found in the recently released Creta facelift. An eight-speaker Bose premium sound system, front-row ventilated seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, an eight-way power adjustable driver seat, and a voice-activated smart panoramic sunroof are a few of the expected features.
Hyundai Creta EV: Expected Price
It is anticipated that the ex-showroom price of the electric Creta will fall between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 30 lakh. Both are ex-showroom figures. The manufacturer currently has the Kona Electric and the Ioniq 5 as its two electric models in India. It's important to note that the carmaker introduced the updated Creta in India in early January, with a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh.
