Hyundai India previewed the Creta Electric’s interior ahead of its launch at the Auto Expo 2025, scheduled for January 17. Alongside this glimpse into the cabin, the automaker has disclosed key highlights and performance details of the eagerly awaited e-SUV. The Creta Electric retains the strong design and interior similarities to its ICE-powered counterpart. Its cabin features a dual-screen setup, consisting of a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and an equally large infotainment screen with a user interface tailored for EV functions. The model boasts several appealing amenities such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, type-C ports, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and ventilated and power-adjustable front seats.

The Creta Electric introduces several notable upgrades over the standard version. These include a revamped centre console with a rotary knob, air conditioning vents, refined seat upholstery, a fresh three-spoke steering wheel, a foldable tray table, an EV-specific one-pedal driving mode, and a gear selector integrated into the steering column.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Safety Features
When it comes to safety quotient, the Hyundai model boasts a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) package, offering key features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring. Additionally, it comes with six airbags as standard, along with a 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system, and parking sensors at both the front and rear.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Battery, Range, and Charging Details
On the mechanical front, the Creta Electric is set to offer two battery configurations: a 42kWh pack and a larger 51.4kWh option. The 42kWh variant delivers 133bhp, while the 51.4kWh version boosts power output to 169bhp. To enhance performance in colder conditions, the vehicle will feature a battery heating system, ensuring optimal charging efficiency and range. The long-range 51.4kWh battery promises a driving range of 473km, while the smaller 42kWh pack provides a range of 390km.
The Creta Electric is equipped with an 11kW AC charger, which can fully recharge its larger 51.4kWh battery in just four hours. A DC fast charging option is also available, enabling the battery to go from 10% to 80% in a swift 58 minutes.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Exterior, Rivals
In terms of design, the electric Creta closely mirrors its ICE counterpart but incorporates several distinct features. These include a pixelated-pattern grille unique to EVs and a front bumper equipped with active air flaps, enhancing both aerodynamic performance and cooling efficiency. The grille also houses a discreetly integrated charging port alongside the Hyundai emblem. Other design elements include a blacked-out roof, pillars, ORVMs, and aerodynamically optimised 17-inch alloy wheels. The electric Creta is offered in a palette of eight single-tone paint jobs, comprising five metallic and three matte finishes.

Reservations for the model are now underway, with its ex-showroom price anticipated to be around Rs 17 lakh. Once it enters the Indian market, the electrified Creta will compete against the MG ZS EV, Mahindra XEV 9e, Tata Curvv EV, BYD Atto 3, Mahindra BE 6, and Mahindra XUV400.
